I got a phone call in the morning that the horses was running free. It seemed as they have went for a neighbor a kilometer away and that have horses… Very fun with a loose stallion. I got Ann-Sofie with me and we left. But everything was calm. Pepper and Percy wasn’t at the neighbors, only just outside the pasture and Calinka still inside the pasture. We had wondered about how Pepper would deal with it when we caught him or one of the mares – would he ”defend” his heard? At least this time it was only to put on the halters as usual. The horses had got loose by pushing thru the fence at the gate, probably one of them had been caught and passed thru the fence. Even one of the poles that connected the gate was lifted up.
Calinka, that was left in the pasture, found her way out when the horses came close to the destroyed gate and joined us free to the mares usual pasture. I ahd planned to put them there anyway as all those insects, some in the size of smaller airplanes was eating the horses. In the mare pasture they all could find some help in the shelter. And Percy had got into heat.
