Today Sylvia and I trail rode, but this time with my Rockies, pepper and Percy. This was the first time Pepper got out with company. He was a bit worked up already when I brought him in, but seemed to get back to normal. We corssed the lake and the ditch was so scary that we had to get of to get over.. Back on the horseback we got more in the opposite direction of the wind and Pepper reared. High. Then he was like dynamite to sit on all over the open field and didn’t calm down properly until we got out of the wind. The he was cool as a cucumber. I start to think that he is very e´sensitive to sounds/hearing sensations. As well as the weather.

That doesn’t make his behavior ok, but it was something that wasn’t right about it. And I never got afraid. Even when he was like a bomb he differed from other horses that I have  experienced with the same feeling. Strange. Most important of all – we got thru it. And it was a beautiful day. Now I just have to do some thinking about the reasons behind this and how to avoid it.

It is hard to pass this ditch.
