Rida Honey

Satt upp och red Honey barbacka. Trots att jag har en känsla av att hon är en ganska pigg häst stod hon mycket still och böjde sig så hon kunde nosa och bita i min stövel. Framåt ville hon inte alls på mitt kommando, men bakåt… Fast om vi bytte riktning 180 grader kunde hon gå framåt, ut i oskottade snön.  När vi vände tillbaka några meter bort töltade hon några steg med mig…

Jag tror vi har några saker att lära oss framöver (att följa mina kommandon är inte det minst viktiga), men hon accepterar glatt att jag rider henne vilket i sig är väldigt positivt. I det stora hela har hon blivit en så mycket gladare häst och på sistone följer hon mig inte bara runt i hagen – hon har även börjat leka och undersöka lite – som med borstarna. Jag tror att hon äntligen börjar återhämta sig från resan från USA – något som tagit henne mycket längre än någon av mina andra hästar.

Riding Honey

I rode Honey bareback in the halter. I have a feeling that she is a rather forward going horse, but she was most standing still. She bent her head multiple times so she could sniff and bite my boot. She didn’t want to go forward, but backing… But, changing the direction 180 degrees and she could go forward and out in the snow. Turning back she offered some steps in gait…

I think we have some things to learn (to follow my direction is not the least important), but that she accepts me on her back is a big step according to me. She has become a so much happier horse and has lately she isn’t only following me around in the pasture – she has started to play with and investigate stuff in her surrounding. As with the brushes. I think that she finally is starting to recover from travelling to me – something that has taken her so much longer than any of my other horses.
