Påskafton ridning
Ett tunt snötäckte täckte marken och jag började fundera på om broddar behövdes men bestämde att lämna dem hemma när Calinka och jag tog en skogstur. Vi hamnade i väglöst land, men tog oss till slut ut till vägen som jag visste fanns där, men inte utan att hamna på väl sank mark, behöva korsa några diken och massor med ris. Sedan blev det galopp – härligt sa Calinka som var alldeles mjuk efter off road versionen.
Med en kort stund innan jag behövde vara hemma tog jag ut Percy på en kort ridtur. Bromsen var inte riktigt på plats, hon var inte så sugen på att gå ifrån stallet och hon travade bara när jag bad om ökat tempo. Men, hon är snäll och söt, det viktigaste nu är erfarenheten.
A thin layer of snow covered the ground and I started to think about grips but decided to skip them when Calinka and I took a trail ride in the forest. We got into a road less part, but finally found the road that I knew should be there, but not without passing ditches, some kind of swamp like surface and a lot of tree branches left on the ground. Then we cantered – lovely according to Calinka that had gotten really soft of all the off road work.
With only a short time before I had to return home I brought Percy for a short trail ride. The brake didn’t really work, she wasn’t really comfortable leaving the stable and she only trotted when asked for anything else than walk. But, she is very kind and the most important part is her getting experience.
