Percy ger upp

Hästarna, särskilt Pepper kändes trött. Och efter en stund förstod jag varför. Percy hade ”gett upp” och Pepper fick betäcka henne. Troligen var det inte första gången och hon stod snällt och stilla. Tur det, jag började ju bli orolig om det hela skulle lyckas. Pepper såg däremot trött ut och var inte så intresserad av stona – han verkar ha fullt upp att ”serva” dem. Calinka har ju hela tiden velat ha mera, ofta vänder hon upp rumpan mot honom direkt efter en betäckning och låter honom knappt komma förbi den.

Peppers ben såg däremot sämre ut. Såret har blivit djupare även om han är lite mindre svullen. Mer sårsprej på – hoppas jag slipper försöka linda det, men snart får jag lägga ett lätt skydd uppepå. Det är ju flugorna som är problemet. Mimmi hade varit förbi tidigare och red Calinka i lite dressyr och Pepper fick bara stå inne och vila – han var tydligen trött. Både Mimmi, Maria och jag upplever att Pepper har blivit trevligare av att gå med stona – antingen är han trött eller så blir hans behov av ”ska bara” inte lika stort samtidigt som hans sociala behov borde hinna uppfyllas.

The horses, and especially Pepper felt tired when I arrived. And then I understood why. Percy had ”give up” and Pepper got to cover her. It was probably not the first time and she stood quietly. Thanks for that, I started to wonder I it was ever going to happen. Pepper on the other hand seemed a little bit exhausted and wasn’t very into the mares – seems he has his hoofs full to ”serve” them. Calinka has all the time ”wanted more”, she usually turns her tail in his nose after he just have been breeding her and hardly let him pass.

Pepper leg on the other hand looked wors – it is less swolen but seems to have become a little deeper. As the flies are the problem, but I want to keep it open I use gentain violet spray, but soon I have to bandage it. Mimmi passed by earlier and did some dressage with Calinka. Pepper was tired and just went indoors to sleep. Both Mimmi, Maria and I thinks that Pepper has been gentler since he got togehter with the mares. It might be that he is to tired so his ”I only have to” ideas disappears, but it can also be that his social needs are better filled and then he don’t need ”to only”.
