Hästar bara på två ställe

Idag fick Whizzy, Bunny och Zeb flytta till Ullekalv och övriga ston. Första vändan körde jag Whizzy.
Bunny och Zeb brydde sig knappt om att hon försvann och lastades även lätt när jag kom tillbaka. Skönt, för det känns alltid lite extra knöligt med sto och föl. Tur att Maria hanterat Zeb så mycket att han inte tyckte det var alltför obehagligt att bli inknuffad i transporten och fasthållen medan mamma Bunny klev på.
Först fick Bunny och Zeb gå bredvid de övriga en stund för att hinna landa efter resan (som tog en knapp timme). Nu i kväll fick de gå in till de andra. Härligt med en så stor flock samlade – 7 hästar. Ofta har jag mina delade mera för att alla ska få sällskap.
It seems as Percy let everyone care about her daughter now.
Nu är det bara Pepper kvar på Ekenäs och det dröjer inte så länge innan han med flyttar. Ska bli skönt att ha alla hästar på ett ställe. Dessutom kommer de snart att få större hage. Kvigorna som går i ena delen kommer att åka hem och mina hästar att få tillgång till den delen med.

Horses at only two places
Today Whizzy, Bunny and Zeb moved to Ullekalv and the other mares. Whizzy went first. Bunny and Zeb didn’t care much but got easily on the trailer when I returned. Good, because so far I always get a little more tense when it is both mare and foal that is going on the trailer. Luckily Maria has handled Zeb so much that he hadn’t any problem with us pushing him onboard and holding him there until Bunny had entered.
At the arrival Bunny and Zeb first got to stay close to the others to settle a little after the trip (it took a little less than an hour). In the evening they got to join the others. Nice with a herd of horses – 7 horses. I rarely have so many together at once as they often are parted in two groups so everyone get company.
Now is only Pepper left at Ekenäs and it wont be that long before he moves as well. It is going to be so good to get all horses at one place again. And they soon get a bigger pasture as well. The cows in the other part is soon going home and then my horses go over there as well.
Ullekalvs Zephyrus
Hela dagen blåste en västlig vind så Bunnys senaste föl får heta Zephyrus. Smeknamnet är inte helt klart än, men det kommer. Här är en film från igår eftermiddag – alltså är han knappt ett dygn gammal.
It was a west wind blowing all day before Bunny’s foal was born. So, he is getting the name Zephyrus. A nickname isn’t chosen yet, but we find something out. Here is a movie form yesterday afternoon – he is still not 24 hours old.
Bunny har (äntligen) fölat
Looking for the first meal.
Bunny har varit stor och rund, bäckenbanden som gele, juvret sprängfyllt och i lördags började hon läcka mjölk. Hon har aldrig sett så redo ut och hon började även skicka ett antal tjuvlarm på föllarmet jag använder. Det har hon inte haft för vana tidigare. Men – inget föl syntes till.
Så äntligen föddes Bunny och Peppers son på kvällen 18 juni. En stor kille som 
påminner mycket om sina helsyskon Mira och Joe. Han var snabbt på fötterna och letade mat. Han är svart utan några vita tecken, med stor sannolikhet även konstantskimmel.
A tired boy some hours after birth.Nu ikväll fick Whizzy komma in till dem i hagen och det verkar gå bra.
He just dropped down on the ground after spending a lot of time trying to find the first food, pooping etc- look how he got his legs.
Bunny has been big and round, the ligaments has been really ready to foal, the udder more than full and she started to leak milk this Saturday. She has never been so ready to foal and even made a few false alarms on the birth-alarm that I use. That isn’t usual for her. But – no foal.
So it felt like finally! when her and Peppers colt was born yesterday evening. He is a big boy that resembles his older brother and sister Mira and Joe. Fast up on his feet and looking for something to eat. He is black without no with but most probably roan.
This evening Whizzy got to join them in the pasture and it seems to work fine.
Not a day old but it was ok for both him and mum that 4 year old David petted him briefly.
It was ok to have Whizzy rather close.
De dräktiga stona

u är det bara omkring en månad kvar tills Percy borde föla. Hon ser ovanligt lugn ut och inte så otroligt tjock ändå. Ännu har hon inte börjat fylla på juvret eller släppa i bäckenbanden.
Bunny får vänta lite längre men är ungefär lika rund hon.
Now is it only about a month until Percy is ready to have her foal. She looks very calm and not so fat. She hasn’t 
started to fill up the udder yet.
It is a little bit longer until it is time for Bunny but she is about as fat as Percy.
