Nymålad transport

Before

När vi skulle lasta häst nyligen slogs jag av att det kanske var aningen mörkt inne i transporten. Bara dagar efteråt tvekade Pepper att gå in när vi skulle hem från Ösjönäs och Jessicas omedelbara kommentar var att han nog tyckte det såg lite mörkt ut….

Sagt och gjort, till sist fick jag äntligen tid att först handla färg, förbereda inför målning och till sist måla. Först tvättade jag plywooden med målartvätt för att sedan slipa ytorna. Detta för att rugga ytan något då plywoodens yta gör det svårt att få färgen att fästa. Första färglager blev en grundfärg som ytterligare ska öka vidhäftningen och sist då äntligen färgen. Nu hoppas jag det ska sitta kvar trots att de i färgaffären var tveksamma till resultatet över tiden. Vi får se. Hästarna är nog inte s å noga med om färgen flagnar eller ej.

Newly painted trailer

When we used the trailer recently it struck me that maybe it was a little dark inside. Few days afterwards when I loaded Pepper to bring him home from Ösjönäs Jessica told me the same when he hesitated a little.

After, I hope the horses finds this much more inviting.

So, now have I finally found time to go to the store and buy proper paint and got time to paint it. Or, at first I had to wash it with special “paint wash”, then get the surface a little less polished so the paint would attach and then paint it. First with a color that enhance the attachment of the next color. As the woman in the store thought it would be very hard to get anything to stick at the glass fiber roof I let that be for the moment, just get it with instead makes a huge difference. Now I only hopes that it stays that way, the shop lady had doubts about the durability. But, I guess the horses don’t mind a lot if the color isn’t perfect.
