För att se om stona verkade dräktiga började jag med att gå förbi Pepper med dem varannan dag när det var dags för dem att börja brunsta. Ingen brunst och i torsdags och då visade det sig att Percy är dräktig medan Bunny inte var det. Det var första gången hon inte tog sig på första försöket, men jag är inte säker på att hon blev betäckt. Percy verkade hålla henne ifrån Pepper (något jag vet att hon gjort tidigare) och när jag gick höll i Percy betäckte Pepper inte Bunny som jag hade tänkt utan Percy…

Eftersom Bunny inte kommit i brunst fick hon däremot en hormonspruta så nu hoppas vi på att hon kommer i brunst snart och på ett juli föl till nästa år.

Checking the mares infront of the stallion

To see if the mares seemed to be pregnant I started to walk them past Pepper every other day when they were supposed to get in heat. No reaction form neither mares or stallion but when I had them checked this Thursday it showed that Percy was pregnant but not Bunny. It is the first time she doesn’t take on the first try, but I am not sure that she was covered. Percy seemed to keep her away from Pepper (something I know Percy is capable of). Therefore I held Percy in the halter everyday to give Pepper and Bunny a chance but them Pepper decided to cover Percy anyway….

As Bunny didn’t get in heat she got a hormon shot and now we hope for her to be breed and have an July foal.
