Vad jag har längtat efter att få löshoppa hästarna! Jag insåg det när jag nästan var klar med ridbanan. Äntligen en helt inhägnad plats där jag kan jobba hästarna löst och löshoppa. Mina hästar är inga hoppstjärnor och löshoppningen går inte till helt enligt regelboken. Idag fick Iris, Whizzy och Honey prova på det här med hinder för första gången. Calinka var med som erfaren ledsagare. Så, hon jobbade på att visa dem hur man går förbi eller tar hinder väldigt snävt. men, hon hade kul och var till hjälp för att få de andra att våga och förstå vad som var tanken.

Iris var nog den som gillade det hela bäst även om alla hade skoj. Whizzy hoppade, men inte med så mycket bjudning eller sug att få prova en gång till och Honey sprang bara förbi och tyckte det var kul… Men just för att få bjudning och få hästarna att tycka det är kul har det med andra hästar varit effektivt att ha flera hästar som hoppar samtidigt. Även om det inte är enligt rekommendation eller hur jag skulle göra om jag hade hästar som var tänkta för en karriär inom hoppning på högre höjder. Oftast har det däremot varit två hästar samtidigt. Det här var första gången jag hoppade fyra hästar på en gång.

Jumping

I have longed so much to let the horses jump! I really realised that when I nearly had finished the riding arena. Finally a place where I can work the horses and let them jump. My horses are no jumping stars so I don’t really follows the rules. Today Iris, Whizzy and Honey got to try jumping for the very first time. Calinka joined them to show how it should be done. So, Calinka show them how to run by the poles or how to turn very quickly and then jump. But, the old lady had a lot of fun as well as the young ones.

I think Iris enjoyed jumping the most, even if all had fun. Whizzy jumped, but with so much entusiasm and Honey mostly run by the side. To get the horses to have fun and enjoy jumping is my main goal and in the past, wit other horses has it worked well to jump more than one horse at the same time. But it is not the recommendation and if I had horses that were supposed to have a show jumper carrier at bigger events I wouldn’t do it like this. But it has usually been two horse – this was the first time with four at the same time.
