Calinka amused herself by getting Maria angry when they headed for a “longer” trail ride. She started with not wanteing to be caught and alost shoe. (Luckliy I can attached a shoe). Apperently there was a wagon, in the middel of a field that threatened to eat her – as long as Maria was on her back. And when Maria was on Calinkas back they have to move fast – full speed… maybe hte lady starts to shape up.
I joined them for a short distance, but turned back as big tractors with as big haywagons drove back and fourth in highspeed on the very narrow road. Percy don’t like to be left alone, so I walked at her side home. There I got in the saddle again and headed shortly for another direction. Not Percys favourite – but we got, after several stops, where I wanted. Oh, and by the way, I “polished ” Percy’s feet as training for the farrier. She didn’t bother a bit. What a difference from when she arrived and nearly fell to teh floor as soon as we tried to pick her feet!
Pepper showed that he wanted to work as soon I we turned up in the stable. So I tacked him up and we left. But Percy screamed – could we really leave her? And it was some strange sheep far away that we needed to study carefully. He likes to just stand still and watch things, beautiful scenary, sheep, or something else…Anyway, we had a nice ride and as soon as he got grass under his feet he wanted to proof that he had learnt canter aids (or, is learning). Nice! On teh way home ont hte other side – he was lazy and just wanted to stop. Probably the first horse that I know that don’t want to go home…
