Rino och Embla sålda

Vi har så mycket för oss i och med att vårt nya hus äntligen är klart, så uppdateringarna här blir lidande.

I alla fall såldes Embla för ett par veckor sedan, men är kvar på bete ett litet tag innan hon ger sig iväg.

På Rino är det erlagt en handpenning och enligt plan blir han kvar till ivår när han är stor nog för den lite längre resa som behövs för att han ska komma till sitt nya hem.

Och Zeb, han lämnade för att åka till sitt nya hem.

Och, jag verkar ha fått tag på både hösilage och halm inför vintern – väldigt skönt i och med årets torka.

 

Embla and Rino are sold

We have so much to do as our new house is finally read. Therefore I haven’t been updating much.

Anyway, Embla is sold, but is still here for some time.

A deposit is made on Rino and the plan is that he stays until the spring when he is big enough for the long trip to his new home.

And Zeb left for his new home.

And, it seems as I have got al food I need for winter – very nice with this dry year.

Just nu njuter jag nog mest av det underbara sommarvädret. Och fölvakar. Fast, sedan är det ju lite fix med ston som kommer på besök, vallar som ska slås, hagar som ska fixas och hästar som ska motioneras.

Embla

I alla fall är skimmelstoet som var på besök bekräftat dräktig och det kom två nya ston i helgen (fyra utomstående ston till Pepper i år än så länge alltså). Och Rose har fått träffa honom, så vi får snart se hur det har gått.

Äntligen är certifieringsfilm på Embla klar och strax på väg mot USA (måste bara posta det).

Bunny åkte nyligen för att gå på turridning på Ösjönäs, Tiveden.

Och ännu inga föl i sikte.

 

Update

Right now I probably mostly enjoy the weather. And foal watch. And, of course there is some to do with the mares that gets here, grass to cut, pastures to look over and horses to work.

The grey mare that visited Pepper is in foal anyway and two new mares arrived recently. (Four outside mares to Pepper this year so far.) And Rose has dated him so soon we can find out how that went.

And Emblas certification movie is soon on its way to USA (just need to post it).

Bunny just left to do trail rides at Ösjönäs.

And no foals in sight so far.

Embla till salu

Emblas matte har, efter mycket tänkande, bestämt sig för att sälja sin häst. Jag har fått uppdraget att hitta hennes nya hem.

Ullekalvs Embla är född 2013 och det första rocky fölet som är “tillverkat” och fött i Sverige. Mamma är mitt sto Percy (RPM’s Silver Persuasion) och pappa min hingst Black Pepper.

Hon är silversvart och befinner sig nu hos mig, där hon fungerar bra i stoflocken. Hon är riden och körd, men inte så utbildad. Ägaren har inte tränat tölt så mycket, men den finns där och just nu arbetar vi för att certifiera henne. Galopp är annars en favoritgångart.

Embla har inga skador/sjukdomar och har aldrig varit skodd.Vargtänderna är bortplockade, men ägaren har bara ridit/kört bettlöst, nu har vi provat med bett ett par gånger bara för att visa henne det.

Hon är vänlig och kommer gärna upp och ser vad man har för sig. Hon är omkring 150 cm hög och silersvart. Hon har varit kontinuerligt försäkrad i samma bolag sedan hon föddes och har bara haft en ägare sedan hon flyttade ifrån Ullekalv som sex månader.

Embla for sale

Emblas owner has, after a lot of thinking, decided to sell her horse. I am going to find the new owner for her.

Ullekalvs Embla is born 2013 and the first rocky that is born and bred in Sweden. Her mum is my mare Percy (RPM’s Silver Persuasion) and her father my stallion Black Pepper.

She is silver black and now lives at my place, where she fits well in with the other mares. She is ridden and driven with a carriage, but not very educated. The owner hasn’t bother about the gait, but it is there and we are working on to get her certified. She loves to canter.

Embla has no known injuries/illnesses and has never worn shoes. The wolf teeth are gone, but the owner has only worked her in bitless bridles. We have tried bit a couple of times and she does well in that to.

She is friendly and likes to see what is happening or just greet you. She is about 150 cm in hight and silver black. She has been insured in the same company since birth and only had one owner since she moved form Ullekalv at six months of age.

You need to rest to – why not say hello to your friends?

Honey played a little with the ball – she starts to be curious!

Percy wasn’t overly happy about that her husband (Pepper) was interested in Bunny so she got to move to the girls and got to meet with Embla for the first time since Embla moved at six months.

Igår testade jag Embla i kanske tio minuter runt gården. Det gick bra och jag fick några steg i något som inte var trav. Idag vägrade Leo låta någon annan än mamma ansvara för honom så jag fick ta Percy på promenad och så red Mathilda Embla istället. Hon skötte sig exemplariskt. En pigg lite häst som glatt gick fram i skogen. Ingen trav utan tölt/ foxtrot. Känns hoppfullt!

Jag red även Whizzy och Iris samma varv igår och fick fram Iris i tölt några steg. Hon har en tendens att hamna i stepping pace. Jag tror att det främst handlar om att hon ännu är så lite riden, men också att hon behöver gå påframåt för att gå över i tölt. Whizzy var jag i början så orolig för att hon inte skulle tölta, men så fick jag till det redan första gången jag bad henne. Men nu – nu är det bara trav, eller väldigt nära trav hon gör. Nåja – det finns ju där i alla fall. Idag tog jag och Mathilda tjejerna på en kvart eller så i omgivningen med samma resultat.

Yesterday I tried Embla for about ten minutes in the surroundings. She did well and I got some steps in something that wasn’t trot. Today Leo only wanted his mum so I walked Percy and Mathilda rode Embla. She behaved perfectly. Forward going in the new forrest and tolt/fox trotting. Good girl!

I rode Iris and Whizzy shortly yesterday and got some steps of tolt from Iris. She has a tendency to step pace. I think that is mainly because she is so inexperienced, but also that she needs to tolt with some speed. In the beginning I were so nervous that Whizzy wouldn’t gait, but she did from the start. But now has she started to trot. Well – at least I know that she got it. Today Mathilda and I took the girls for another ten minutes with about the same result.
