Kreativitet

Now that I am at home I have been doing some things for the horses and more is planned…

Pretty boys look good in lilac – and it is a try to save his mane under the rugs. Calinka is getting one as well – but more of a hood…It is ready but I don’t have any pictures yet.

The plan is that Percy is going to be ridden in only a strap around her neck – maybe this one can work?
I made this for riding from my backontrack back armer as I don’t use stable rugs anymore when the horses is outdoors all the time. Previously Calinka wore it in the stable, now it might help her while exercising.

Dagens bilder

Look at the reflections in the car…

Bunnys man – silverfärgen

Bunnys mane – silver color

I have previously written about Bunny’s mane that gets darker. That happens with a lot of Rockies with the silver gene. (Compared to Icelandic horses that keep the light mane all their life). Now I have found light parts growing in the bottom of her mane and underneath the dark part. Can be interesting to see how this continues…

Träning

In your face – one reason why I have few pictures from the pasture…
Well, I got something, but what did she do with her tongue?

Training

Finally everything has been going according to plan. All horses have been worked regularly the last weeks. Pepper has gotten some time to work: today dressage, Saturday 30 minutes at the roads with Calinka. Calinka has also been worked, mostly on the trails; now she has started to canter. Percy and Bunny have also been out nearly every second day and worked slightly on the roads around her or at the field.
I hope we can keep this up for at least a month. then the horses can participate in a lot of fun things that is coming up…

Embla is growing and getting darker every day.

The only horse that actually chose to jump (twice), even if she got bored an broke out of the enclosure shortly after this … Is she my best jumping horse?
As the refused the jump I had to make something at the other side..

Jumping

Three in a row.
Ok – I don’t have the next jumping star, that’s for sure… With some luck we might learn to pass some smaller jumps. I tried to encourage them by letting them be more than one, but that didn’t help much either. Even Calinka that knows how to do it seems to have forgotten… I don’t have any good possibility for jumping, that is why I haven’t tried this before. Still I had hoped for some hidden talent.
To try to take pictures while you drive the horse and carry a baby at your stomach has its limitations. Just saying.
Pepper isn’t much of a jumper so far – but showed of nicely.
Afterwards we took a walk; Isac at Calinka’s back, David at my stomach and Mika running along.
