Joe changes pasture
As the horses has spent all winter in the pastures there isn’t very much grass at Ekenäs any longer. Luckily Maria’s neighbor has a couple of pastures since she had horses a couple of years ago and they could easily be prepared. Then I only had to move horses.
I decided that we should try to move Bunny and Joe as Bunny is the one that needs most grass right now while nursing Joe. But it seemed to be the most difficult task as I hadn’t been close to Joe yet. Still, I brought them into the stable and parked the trailer close by, trying to make a path up on the trailer. Bunny stepped in rather fast, but not Joe. So bunny got nervous and got of the trailer. I thought to give it up as I didn’t want to push it very much but before that I got a grab on Joe and with some help I managed to get him in the trailer and cold hold him there until Bunny decided to get on. (That took about 5 minutes or so, she isn’t very happy about the trailer and has not been on many trips).
Bunny found traveling a little hard, but really enjoys all the food now so I think the good is more than the hard time in the trailer (about 5-10 minutes) was worth it.
Then we headed back and loaded Tea. She has never been transported before but it took about 30 seconds to get her on the trailer. Now all of them seems to be happy! Thanks all of you that helped be load horses and fix pastures!

Jousting games – environmental training
While the Medieval village was built I worked with the horses in it. It is not often that you get tents, flags and other “strange” objects like that. That I did that before was what made me decide that Percy wouldn’t bother about Falsterbo. Now I know that Pepper probably would do fine as well. The young ones probably needs some more training before they are totally calm and relaxed.
Tea
Tea
First try on this “obstacle”. In 37 seconds and I had passed with Tea that I led.
The jousting games – the mares pasture
This is what it looked like while the jousting games was at play. Even if this pasture is very close they were relaxed. And they don’t see a lot – but they here it all (and jousting games can be rather noisy).
OK, this was before it all started at Saturday – still there were a lot of preparations going on. Tea.
Preparations for the jousting games
The arena were the jousting games takes place.
The preparations for the jousting games that takes place this weekend has started. I brought my youngest girls out to have a look. They got a little nervous, probably because they got away alone. The sheep were also very scary but all flags etc was rather ok even if they didn’t help with all the rest. And even if nervous I could control them without much trouble even if Mira was so worked up that she couldn’t eat. Then Mira, Tea and Percy got a new pasture. Partly to get more grass partly to get out of the way for the weekends events and partly to give Bunny some peace. She could foal any day now. Calinka got to stay to accompany her.Bunny also got to take a look at things – I brought her along when I cleaned up after her daughters.
Tea was a bit skeptic about the dragon – especially the big black hole at its stomach.
Bunny also looked at the sheep and posed.
Bunny was bravest and got rather close to the sheep.
